Happy Father’s Day to all our dads here at Frederick Fence Company!
Next to Mothers, father figures are certainly the most important person in any individual’s life. The time we have all spent watching and learning from them are perhaps what shape our futures much more than we realize. We hope you will take some time this Father’s day to consider your dad; the good times, the instances when he was there for you, and when he supported you. Also think about the lessons you learned from him. They could be big, life lessons or maybe just simple things that you have taken with you throughout all of life. I will never forget the day my dad taught me to properly wrap an extension cord, or the time we built our paddock fence together. Even today, I still think of him when I wrap a cord or do fence work. It sounds insignificant, but it means I get to think of him and appreciate him more.
Life Lessons
You may have thought I didn’t see,
Or that I hadn’t heard,
Life lessons that you taught to me,
But I got every word.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
And that we’d grow apart,
But Dad, I picked up everything,
It’s written on my heart.
Without you, Dad, I wouldn’t be
The person I am today;
You built a strong foundation
No one can take away.
I’ve grown up with your values,
And I’m very glad I did;
So here’s to you, dear father,
From your forever grateful kid.
