Diamond Post and Rail
Diamond post and rail fencing is constructed using 5” x 5” posts set 8’ apart with (2-3) horizontal rails secured in between. The style is called “diamond” because the rails are square and set so that each point is facing up/down, side to side. The ideal height for this fence is 4’ tall.
This type of vinyl fence is similar to paddock or ranch-style fencing but is often viewed as even simpler and cleaner in appearance. Diamond post and rail is great for farm properties or any customer looking for a clean style that has the lasting qualities of vinyl. Frederick Fence has the ability to customize, height, rail count, and color of your diamond post and rail fence in our vinyl shop.
Board on Board
Yes! Board on board fencing can be done using vinyl material. When looking straight on at the fence, you see complete privacy, but when standing to the side you can see through the slats slightly. This type of vinyl fence is not marketed regularly by our company for two reasons. . .
1) It is difficult to manufacture. The effort and accuracy needed to route each board on board section is much more laborious than any other style of vinyl fence. It is also heavier than other similar vinyl fence styles, adding extra effort just for that reason alone.
2) Vinyl board on board is expensive and there are better alternatives. Because of all the added labor mentioned previously, this style is going to be more expensive than other simpler vinyl privacy fence styles. If you are looking to accomplish semi privacy with a vinyl material option, we can point you in the direction of something more cost effective.
Still interested in board on board instead? No problem. We can offer to install this option for you, if that is what you really want.

Louvered Privacy
Louvered vinyl privacy fencing is a horizontal semi-privacy style. Each slat is placed at an angle to allow air movement but almost complete privacy when looking directly at the fence. When looking down onto the fence you can see through it. This type of vinyl fence was manufactured to cater to areas with strong winds, such as coastal areas, as it is designed to allow air to move through, even strong winds.
Louvered is pricier than classic tongue and groove, but the value is about the same because you are getting more fence; more rails, more strength, more wind resistance.
